KALMIA GARDENS
OPEN REHEARSAL
Every concert is the culmination not just of hours of individual practice, but of hours of rehearsal as a group. At turns serious and playful, a rehearsal is a mutual exploration of all the aspects present in the music as the musicians strive to reach the highest level and prepare for performing. We offer open rehearsals so that our audience can not only see the final product, but enjoy a view into the more intricate processes of music making.
Join us August 5 and August 12 at 10am for a FREE glimpse into the work we do to make the music come to life. This is also a fantastic way to catch a teaser of the upcoming performance while getting to know the music on a deeper level.
Chamber Instruction
Our educational outreach enables us to visit local schools and music programs to provide world-class coaching to local music students. Many Kalmia musicians hold teaching positions at universities and music schools all throughout the country. Encompassing private lessons, group coaching, and musical presentations of all types, our outreaches are a unique opportunity to learn and further the musical skills in the community. Please reach out via our contact form if you are interested in a visit.
Community Concerts
In addition to our regular Farmhouse Series, we perform house concerts upon request, and play pop-up events at the Durham Farmer’s Market, so make sure to follow our social media to stay updated! Contact us if you are interested in hosting a house concert or living room performance of your own for your guests.
